7 months have passed since this book was supposed to have been released, and nada.

It seems as if the authors do not intend to release the final book. I haven't heard or read any official word though. However, one of the co-authors, Theodora Taylor, has been continuing to release her own books. Any time anyone inquires about the final book in this series neither author responds. Which is unfortunate because it allows readers to draw their own conclusions. Personally, I think they both couldn't come to an agreement either with each other or the publisher.

Please don't let this be the final book!!!! This series is too good for that. Will the alien females cross breed. How are the previous couple doing? Will the Kal's alien race be stopped. How is the kal and his mate progressing with their first child? OMG! To many possibilities. Please don't let this be the last book. What kind of woman does Glee grow up to be??? Tooany questions and no answers. I am dying for this next book!!!!

This is obviously more of a comment and less of a review, but I hope that this book comes out. I think the characters involved can make it the best book of the series. I also want to see a Kaidoriam series; there is a lot that can unfold with these characters. I also wish N'Marya got her own book too.

I'm really about to tell on myself on the Goodreads dot com. 😬

I've been waiting for this book to drop for THREE YEARS. I binged the first three books in this series at the height of lockdown and have been on the look out for the fourth since. Imagine my surprise this September when I saw that Amazon had FINALLY listed the fourth book with a publication date set for this year.

Did I download and read the entire thing the day it dropped? Yes.
Was it worth the THIRTY-SIX MONTH wait. ... Kinda?

The first 40 percent of the book is spent catching up to where book three left off. It features scenes we've already read but through new POVs, and our main trio don't actually spend that much time together. With that in mind, we really only got about a novella's worth of new content before being hit with the cliff hanger.

That's right: This book ends on a cliff hanger. This book — that I've waited for more than ONE THOUSAND, NINETY-FIVE DAYS to read — ends with no HEA, in the middle of a big conflict that breaks up the main love interests.

First of all, ¿¿¿how dare you???

You had me! I'm hooked! I need to know how they get together! I need L'Than to be happy. I would have bought a supersized book. I would have bought two separate books immediately. I would have done anything to keep from having to wait another month for the conclusion of the story.

But wait I shall, because except for the cliff-hanger, I had a blast reading this book: grumpy/cinnamon-roll MFM dynamic, enemies-to-lovers, intersteller custody battle, intense pining, #cousinstuff, women in STEM. I'm here for all of it.

The authors did a good job at balancing the relationship and showing how they all kind of need each other. Elle and L'Gon are similar in that they're both stubborn, supremacist assholes who need to be humbled, and I appreciate how L'Than brings out the better in them. He's the star of this book, tbh. I'm trash for a super smitten alien hero.

As intense as it is, I enjoy the world and characters the authors created in the first three books. I like that we got three Black heroines who found ways to survive on a crazy alien planet and win over their "evil" alien overlords. I was worried that after such a long break from writing this universe, the authors might have forgotten or missed important details. That wasn't a problem, tho, and this book feels right in line with the first three. (They did get the coloring of L'Than's mom wrong in this one. I only noticed because I'm an editor who can't turn it off. Please send help.)

The spice sure was spicy! I can't lie: It was pretty good. 😅 A bit trope-y but nothing too bad. Did it feel emotionally earned? Eh ... I go back and forth. I don't think L'Gon and Elle would even touch each other in any other situation, but I was willing to go along with it.

Lastly, there was a v. nonserious moment when L'Gon has to care for a baby, but luckily we don't dwell on that. I don't like babies in my romances. I like all the chaos they cause, but I don't need to read about them or their gassiness.

This review's all over the place. Overall, my love and enjoyment of this book was dampened by the cliff-hanger ending that hits us right as the new plot gets going. I can't believe I'm waiting for ANOTHER update to this series after such a long delay. Have I not suffered enough? 😤

Not worth the wait

Did not like this book after waiting years for the sequel it's a big let down the character Elle was annoying so was L'Gon. The only character I like was L'NThN he deserves better. Hope the last book is better than this one enjoyed them all until now.

This book was so bad.

This book was terrible. I truthfully didn't like any of them. No matter how you romance it up, it was still 4 books about rape. I did try to like them but I didn't. This book was the worst.

This was amazing. The first three chapters were a little too slow paced and not as good, but it picks up.

This was honestly one of the best written menages I have ever read because it goes for deep feels and is mostly told from the males’ perspectives. I loved experiencing both of their resistance and it had enough drama to keep it surprising. L’Than has such a smoking hot, appealing energy the whole story. I’d def let him be my prime if he was real. 🫦😛

L'Gon, L'Than and Elle

These three sure know how to steam up the place🔥🔥🔥. L'Gon needs a chill pill cause he so high strung. I thought L'Than had helped the situation when they all had their moment but Elle kinda blew that out the water with knowledge of L'Nel's plans. But the deal she's offered L'Gon could crush everything L'Than was hoping for. I can't wait for the next part of this book.💌💌

Once I found out this was a 3 some I was no longer interested in reading this book. This is something that should have been specified in the beginning. Very disappointed with this story and the author!!!

These books are definitely not what I’d look to for complex world building or comfortable levels of consent. In some ways, this book was better and worse in that regard?

We get more backstory on the conditions on New Terran prior to the first book. We learn that Elle, Kira’s sister, was a scientist - or as much of one as possible with the class/caste system restricting options. Her Breeding Ceremony was the worst with her suffering through more than one Xalthurian. All of that makes it entirely understandable why L’Than seemed the most likely partner for her.

If you hadn’t read the other books, the first 40% would make no sense as it speeds through those events to get Elle to Nova’s wedding. Throughout that, L’Than is ride or die for Elle and L’Gon is awful.

The issue w/the alien supremacist character is that it’s too easy to see how it translates to white supremacy. L’Gon got too into a human and blamed her and her entire race for his desire. He demonized their race and spends years badmouthing them despite his cousin being part human. He tolerates L’Than because he was raised as Xalthurian. The things he says to Elle are awful.

Also, honorable mention for L’Nel implying it was a good thing Elle suffered through being assaulted because they got a baby out of it.

The turn in the last 20% came too quickly and it felt almost rushed. The fact that the last part of this book is a chunk of p*rn between characters that barely know each other (two of whom barely tolerate each other) made it a bit weaker overall compared to the other books. It ends on a cliffhanger and I’m curious how it will end, but I don’t understand polyamory where two of the people are related???

A good book until the ending chapters

This is book four and I am enjoying this series. I was excited for this book and the joining of Elle, Kira’s sister, back into the story. From book one, Elle was thought to have perished in an awful accident. Unfortunately Elle and T’han were kidnapped for years against their wills. Somehow they escaped and are back. T’han is working hard to be a valuable member of his society and marry Elle so that she can keep her hybrid son Jack. However, Elle, for as intelligent as she is cannot stop herself from being stubborn and lashing out at L’Gon (aka BRO) the biological father of her son Jack. L’Gon is in power and is using their laws against Elle. These two are exhausting with their inability and stubbornness to work together. T’han has done everything to get these two to work together. I sympathize with T’han because he is just the best person, prime, and cousin without the recognition that he deserves! Read On!

Oh my moons, A CLIFFHANGER!

This story was creatively imaginative. The naming convention of the Xaltherans took some getting used to. The older sister of Kira finds herself in a predicament. She wakes up from a five-year stasis in a cage with L'Gon's hybrid cousin L'Than who sees Elle as a saving gift and has fallen for her. Their rescue from the sex prison puts Elle in a predicament to be a nanny to her own xalling so she can have contact with him. His bio dad L'Gon's hatred of humans and his inability to understand his emotions keep him from being objective with every aspect of his life, including solving the Xaltheran fertility problem and their culture's misogynistic attitude towards females no matter the species. For a Xal of science, he can't get a grip on his supposed "Ceremonial Mind Rot" and realizes that it is driving him to do what he does.

It was L'Than's scheming that got L'Gon to show his true feelings after Elle consumed some aphrodisiactic ju'li berries. Just when you think the three of them will come to an understanding, all hell breaks loose when L'Gon's sister L'Nel takes her wants into her own hands. Now we have to wait for the next book to find out what happens next.

My only problem with this story is that the eve of the ju'li berry poisoning just went on and on and on. I just thought it was too much.

Excellent, but cliffhanger

The books finally was published. After so long I never thought it would happen. I am glad it did, however. This combination of writers and this series keeps you interested. I wish they would just released both books at once. I would get them both. Just don’t like the wait.

This is the story of L’than and L’Gon. L’Gon is an ass except for a few moments during this book, but how it wrapped up in the last few chapters…whoa. I am curious as to how the writers will bring healing to this trio and the planets involved.

Elle is the heroine and will do anything for her son. She has been through so much trauma that is addressed somewhat, but not sufficiently in my humble opinion.

Overall, worth the read. Felt taken for granted by the cliffhanger. TT and EV are great but TT take care of yourself, slowdown, and only say what you are can do in a timely fashion so that your loyal fans don’t have unnecessary expectations. And take a page out of Tiana Leevin and release duets at once. We will pay…you are that good and trusted. Stop the waiting game and extra stuff for those willing to pay behind the scenes. Not fair. You deserve all your flowers and credits, but try not to let us feel used.

I was so excited to see that another installment had been released in this out of this world series, until I read it. I read the whole thing and plan to read the next book in this series as well. However, I thought this book was a little ridiculous. The time frame felt warped. There is at least a 5 year time gap between Elle and L'Gon's first and second encounters but for whatever reason that is never really addressed. Then L'Than is introduced creating a love triangle/threesome but it just does not make sense since threesomes are a new concept to this storyline.

This book was all over the place and the characters did not stay true to their persona. For example Elle was raped. In fact all of the women on New Terrhan were rapped as part of the Xalthurians breeding ceremony. As a result of that experience Elle feels that she is incapable of ever wanting much less having a relationship with a man, totally understandable. Fast forward to the ju'li berry, Elle's aphrodisiac cure, which allows her to engage in copious amounts of sex with not one but two alien males, at the same time. I call bullsh*t! How do you go from being legitimately repelled by the opposite sex, regardless the species, to warp speed estrus by the imbibing of a ju'li berry with no apprehension or resistence at all.

Yeah, I know this is a work of fiction and none of this is real but just was not making sense.

Things that make you go hmmm...🤔

I do not like the triad of L'Than, L'Gon and Elle. That whole drawn out nasty threesome romp between them literally nauseated me. I thought that scene with the use of those lust inducing berries with Kira was bad but this one was so much worse and I didn't think that was possible.
Elle was portrayed like a sex crazed tramp. I kept skipping sentences hoping to get an understanding as to why L'Than manipulated that whole scenario. L'Gon and his constant racism, Elle and her pretending not to be interested in either one when even when not under the influence her mind went there. Ugh...just 😖
I was hoping to find out exactly how and why Elle & Jack were saved. Was hoping for more insight into the changing socio/political issues with the merging of the different species, and also the plight of females in the Xalthurian society.
Well ill definitely read the finale and hope these questions I have are answered. I can always skip over the raunch. But I won't read it right away like I did the previous installments. I am reluctant based on #4's content. Fingers crossed..😐

I just finished reading "His to Keep" and was excited to see a link at the end of the story to find out more about "Thiers to Mate". While I am a little disappointed that there is no update since last year on the book's timeline, I can patiently (sort of, kind of) try to wait.

The world's been thrown for a loop, and life, for many, has changed. In the scheme of things, I'm sure that includes upending writing schedules, at a minimum.

My mind is already conjuring L'Gon, L'Than, and Elle's story, however, I'm truly looking forward to reading through your eyes, and seeing what comes next in the Alien Overloads series. I hope this holiday season finds you and yours in good health and spirits.

I had to catch up on the series and read Book 3 and this book in a day. This book had a lot of moving parts and the authors spent a great deal detailing the main characters' pasts until you reach the midway point in the story where the last book left off. This may be an unpopular opinion but L'THN was off to me. It seems he wants women who are "unavailable" and it always lands him in hot water: Qel Kira, N'yanmah, and FMC. Also it seems that his obsession and love for FMC was because she looked like Kira. I was disappointed in seeing what appeared to be a breakthrough in L'GON only for him to take a million steps back. A warning for a major cliffhanger should've been given and again no trigger warnings. It's common courtesy...

Amazing

I have recently found myself liking the whole MFM troupe if it’s done properly. And this one certainly was. It took a minute for the authors to get these books out, but the recap was just what we needed to get right back into the world. The story was so engaging from beginning to end - and the cliffy didn’t bother me much since thankfully the next book is already out. I’ve always loved L’Than, and good grief did this book make me love him even more. I really need him to get his HEA because the poor thing has been through it.
And L’Gon….I’m still trying to figure him out. I have my moments where I can’t stand his stiff human hating self. But then I find moments where I like him. We’ll see how I feel at the end of this whole thing.

I haven't read it yet, but so happy it's come out! I also hope it comes with a recap LOL!

This story ends in a cliffhanger...but it's a niiiice long read.

Updated: What a great beginning of the end. Hot, hot hot!!!!! I didn't get a recap, but the authors wove what happened in the other stories throughout the book. It was really helpful and brought back wonderful memories of the last book. I'm so thankful that this story has finally come about. Our heroine is a genius and the males are like oil and water. However, they all three I know will run together like a well oiled machine. Cannot wait until the second part of this book is released.

it was worth the wait

I have read all the books in the series and I loved each of them…yes 2 is all time favorite but I enjoyed each of them. After 3 there was a pause waiting for 4 to be released…then on Saturday it dropped and I was right there to pick it up. In the beginning it was like a prequel for the first book…then it moves on to tells Elle’s L’Gron and L’nan story. The story telling was good, characters were emotional and touching except L’Gron and I read it one sitting and it was worth the wait…Thank you…Taylor Vaughn. Side note it’s a cliff hanger.
